This project was funded by Save the Children Sweden and targeted to conduct training on the rights of children for Oromiya Civil Service College students at Ziway management institution (Oromiya Civil Service college) and work on incorporation of child right concepts (UN Convention on the Rights of Children (CRC)) in the curriculum of the College.

As part of the activity of the project a child rights training manual entitled "Exploring Child Rights and Child Rights Framework" was developed and three days training was delivered to Oromiya Civil Service College graduating students. A workshop intending to lobby for mainstreaming child rights in the formal teaching structures of the country with the objectives of initiating a discussion, learning from other countries' positive experience, explore practical options and critically examine challenges to mainstream child rights into the educational system of the country was also organized.

As a continuation of this project, another project on "Making available & accessible a training/teaching material on child rights through publishing a paperback book, CD and web" was undertaken. Under this project Amharic, Oromiffa and English adult versions and Amharic and English child versions of the training manual "Exploring Child Rights and Child Rights Framework" were prepared and published. Moreover, CD copy of the child versions of the training manuals was made available.
